We are a charitable trust supporting women, men, teens, children and families nationally after their active cancer treatment for all cancer types has finished.
We know how tough this stage of recovery can be. There is a need for resources and support networks to rebuild mental health, self-esteem and navigate through survivorship. C.A.R.E.S is here to provide support as you redefine your new "normal".
We provide support groups, workshops and speaking events that are led by experts in various fields. These resources are designed to help you define what your personal "normal" is following treatment.
After our own experiences with cancer we realised that the impact of having cancer and going through treatment did not miraculously stop when that treatment was over. The support that we had during treatment slowly faded and we were expected to resume life.
As if life had only been on pause.
For us, life will never return to how it was pre-cancer. Our experiences have changed us.
Cancer shaped each of our lives differently, so we have created this space to support others as they also shape their new "normal" following cancer treatment.
What does C.A.R.E.S stand for?
We believe that you are entitled to support after treatment.
This stage of recovery is vitally important as you find
your new "normal".
